family time...

I woke up the morning of Jan. 2nd to my husband saying "...you getting up soon?" to which I replied "yup, what time is it?" (side note: I was sleeping with my daughter who was having bad dreams, so I had no idea how late it was) to which he replied "10:00". I've never jumped out of bed so fast in my life! Not only were my clients showing up for an 11:00 family session, but the studio wasn't even set up yet (the room doubles as a playroom for my girls)! I quickly showered, got everything set up, and had just enough time to grab a quick drink of water (no breakfast that day) when they pulled into the driveway...right on time! What a way to start off the new year!

I was a little worried about this session simply because my tiny studio - which is usually used for sessions of 2-3 people - would need to accomodate a family of 7! Needless to say, these were the most well-behaved 5 kids I've ever had in the studio! Ok, there was the odd time when they had a bit of energy to burn and they'd run laps around Mom and Dad while I tried to do their photos, but all-in-all they were fantasic! Matt and Andrea, you two have an amazing family...here's a peak from your session...enjoy!

where has the time gone?

Wow....I realized tonight that I haven't posted on here in quite some time! Here's a family session from last week (and I promise to get some more updates on here in the next few days....)

Celebrating One!!

We were a little unsure how this day was going to turn out... dark clouds threatened rain all day, but the end result was a great fall session (ok, it was cold, but this sweet little girl didn't stop smiling!!).

Jennifer and Olivia

A peak of your session from last week... the blazing sun and blowing wind didn't stop us! We got some beautiful images!

This spot reminds me of home....I hope you guys like it too...

Zoe

Congratulations Zoe!

Green family

...after searching nearly 1/2 an hour for parking, we were finally ready to enjoy this "winter wonderland"... a big thanks to the boys for being so good in the cold!!! Merry Christmas!

Crandell family

I had so much fun photographing this next family - lots of laughs! Thanks to the boys for being such great helpers when it came time for me to take down my equipment (I think they helped only to get back to the wii!!)...

a small sample of storyboard options...

only 17 more sleeps...

...let's get into the Christmas spirit with this festive family!

These guys brought their Mom and Dad in for a family session (ok, so maybe it was the other way around). I just had to share some pics of them! They're so cute!!

Ok, today was cold! Nicole and Owen were troopers today as we braved the 50km/hr winds to get these pics...I think it was all worth it! (so glad I can feel my fingers again!)...

I'm thankful for.....FAMILY

Here's a peek at an outdoor session I had at Wascana Park last weekend (just prior to the Thanksgiving snow Mother Nature surprised us with!)...

Time for a "bird bath" in the fountain...
